#mountains

I grew up in Cortina d'Ampezzo, heart of the Dolomites. My childhood, my adolescence were surrounded by rocks, woods, snow, creeks. I’ve been shaped by mountains. My destiny as a photographer couldn’t have gone any other way.

Photographs embracing silence and soul

Bregani's photos are essential, pure and powerful B&W. They are a sad invitation to preserve and conserve the wonderful legacy we have been bestowed so that it may remain.

Augusto Golin, writer, mountaineering historian

Amidst, not outside

Bregani's photography is through the eye and footsteps. The tradition of mountain photography is respected and updated.

Michele Smargiassi, journalist, essayist, photography historian (Repubblica.it)

A great B&W mountain photographer

One of the greatest B&W mountain photographers. In this day and age packed with colours immersed in a digital world, Bregani's photographic style and technique are virtually innovative.

Reinterpreting magnificent mountains

Alberto Bregani decided to seek out the meanings of magnificent mountains, with unique views. A stunning journey with the eye over mountain faces we thought we knew, but now see in a new light.

Fabrizio Torchio, mountain journalist and writer

Photographs of love

These photographs are officially flawless. They contains the care, hard work and (even physical) effort that went into taking them. Let’s just say it: they’re photographs of love.

#black&white

"Black and white is a precise thought, not just a mere desaturation, or a depressing retreat. It’s a silent journey of "chiaroscuro", which you choose to undertake and which brands you deeply and forever."

#poems

"Each one of us opens the doors to a lovingly represented world when looking at Alberto Bregani’s mountain photographs; we enter a form of visual theatricality that blots out your surroundings so only the pictures exist. Take a close look at these photographs. They are poems | (Maurizio Rebuzzini, cricritic and historian of photography. Publisher of FOTOgraphia magazine)
